Your data, kept to what we need.

Who we are

Klarstay, Lauterbrunnen, Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Questions or requests about your data: use the form at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

Pilot form: your name, email, optional phone, and what you tell us about your properties. Used only to contact you about the pilot.
Klarstay app: your name, email and a securely hashed password; properties, room checklists, check photos and reports you or your team create.
Photo check: photos are analysed by an AI service (Anthropic) to produce the check. They are not used to train AI models.
Analytics: only if you click Accept, Google Analytics records anonymised page visits and button clicks. If you decline, nothing is loaded.

Where it is stored

The website and app are hosted by Netlify. App data is stored with Supabase in London, and photos in Netlify storage in Frankfurt. Form entries are held by Netlify. Some providers are based in the USA and process data under standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Pilot enquiries: up to 12 months unless you become a customer. App data: while your account is active, then deleted within 90 days of closing it, except billing records we must keep by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw analytics consent at any time with the cookie settings link. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Cookies

The app uses one essential cookie to keep you logged in. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept.
